Career in Sports was designed to show our Urban Youth Academy and community members the opportunities that are available after their playing careers are completed. There is no better way to kick this program off then with Malachi Moore. Malachi Moore who is a dear friend of The Urban Youth Academy is in his 2nd year as a MLB Professional Level umpire and was discovered while still playing baseball at Compton College in Compton, California. It was not by chance that he was assisting MLB Umpires run their camp at the MLB Compton Academy (MLB's 1st youth academy) when he was approached about his playing future and ultimate selection to attend MLB Umpire training school.
