The Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Royals Foundation, and Kansas City Urban Youth Academy will celebrate MLB PLAY BALL Weekend presented by Nike from June 5–7, 2026, with three days of youth‑focused clinics and activities designed to introduce and grow the game of baseball and softball throughout the Kansas City community. All participants will receive a PLAY BALL T‑shirt and a Franklin Bat & Ball set.

Program Information

MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Event 

Sunday, June 7th PLAY BALL Weekend will conclude on Sunday with a Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition hosted at the Urban Youth Academy. This free event is open to boys and girls ages 7–14 and provides participants the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running skills, with the potential to qualify for advancement to higher levels of competition. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with check‑in beginning at 9:30 a.m.
